In the field of Industry Automation, INTEREL Trading provides products designed to improve quality and flexibility throughout the production process. Its portfolio ranges from pushbuttons and industrial PCs to cam programmers, large-format displays, anti-condensation heaters, text displays and LED signal lamps.
INTEREL Trading also provides integrated solutions for building automation and supervision across the Luxury, Hospitality, Large-Scale Retail and Infrastructure sectors. “In these areas, we offer hardware and software solutions developed either in-house or by established international partners, many of which have received awards for design and innovation,” explains Zublasing.
For Industry Automation, we provide fast response times, tailored solutions and short delivery times.
In the Building Automation sector, our support begins at the design stage, where the operating approach, hardware and software solutions are defined together with the customer.
We then provide programming and system commissioning services, followed by comprehensive after-sales support. This phase is strongly focused on system self-diagnostics, with the aim of making customers as autonomous as possible.
INTEREL Trading is able to manage almost all support activities remotely, either through scheduled service packages or on an on-demand basis.

In the industrial sector, INTEREL Trading’s portfolio includes a wide range of products from several specialised brands.
One example is SCHLEGEL, a German company exporting to more than 80 countries worldwide. Its core expertise includes the development and production of control units, indicator lights and terminal blocks.
The product range also includes bus systems, enclosures, limit switches, control panels and functional modules.
Over the years, the company’s expertise in design has earned recognition from both national and international juries, resulting in prestigious awards such as the iF Design Award, Red Dot Award, German Design Award, Focus Open and the Good Design Award presented by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, one of the world’s oldest and most respected design awards.
Recently, SCHLEGEL reached an important milestone: its 100th design award.
“We are very pleased,” says Christoph Schlegel. “Design is part of our DNA,” emphasises the Managing Director. He also points out that the high number of awards is further proof that, at SCHLEGEL, aesthetics and functionality go perfectly hand in hand.
During 2021, the company received four design awards. The Red Dot Award was presented to the emergency stop pushbutton with ball-shaped actuator. The new proboxx enclosure range received three additional recognitions: the Red Dot Award, Focus Open and the Good Design Award.
All SCHLEGEL control device series are characterised by a high level of functionality, ease of use and quality, as well as by their distinctive design and strong recognisability.
The importance of design is increasingly recognised in mechanical engineering and B2B sectors as well.
“Design has become a strategic value-added factor. Colour, tactile perception or attention to detail can play a decisive role in the purchasing decision,” explains designer Prof. Horst Diener.
The added value goes beyond the appearance of a product, as good design is closely linked to concepts such as innovation and user orientation. “Good design communicates quality by reducing a product to its essentials. It helps ensure that products are clear, intuitive and easy to use for people of all ages,” Prof. Diener emphasises.
The proboxx and the emergency stop pushbutton with ball-shaped actuator are clear examples of this approach. Both control devices received awards for their design quality and creative performance.
Outstanding aesthetics
The FRPKVKOO, an innovative emergency stop pushbutton with a ball-shaped actuator, was praised by the jury, who stated: “This emergency stop pushbutton stands out for its exceptional aesthetic design while also providing the required level of functional safety.”
The distinctive appearance is defined by the unusual spherical shape of the emergency stop pushbutton, which also features a low installation depth of just 9.2 millimetres.
The actuator has a pleasant tactile feel, achieved through a complex electrical discharge machining process that also increases the surface’s resistance to scratches.
Simple and elegant
SCHLEGEL also received a Red Dot Award for its new proboxx enclosure series for the control of machinery and systems, which “combines an appealing appearance with practical benefits.”
According to the jury, “The proboxx enclosure series impresses with its simple functionality and elegant appearance.”
Developed in collaboration with the design agency Ottenwälder und Ottenwälder in Schwäbisch Gmünd, the proboxx has once again impressed design experts. This marks the fourth award for the series, following previous recognition from the German Design Award, the Good Design Award and Focus Open.
The proboxx concept is defined above all by its flexibility, allowing integration into standard systems as well as M12, fieldbus and wireless systems. In addition, the robust polyamide enclosures feature an innovative mounting mechanism.
“It is clear that innovation, combined with a strong focus on design, represents one of the key strengths of our company,” notes Zublasing. “To meet market demands and our customers’ expectations, we continuously seek new and creative solutions.
